I've never been good at book reports, so bare with me.
You know how we all speak a different language?
And you know that it's a little difficult to communicate with someone that speaks Chinese when your first language is English?
Well Gary Chapman's book is based on the fact that we all speak a different love language.
I show my husband I love him by buying him a new movie or by telling him how amazing he is.
He shows me he loves me with a kiss.

We're speaking different languages.
Chapman's book, The Five Love Languages, is about learning what your love language is, what your spouses love language is, and the importance of learning to speak it.
The chapters are short, the knowledge is wonderful.
It's the kind of thing that makes you say
Well, that explains a lot.
True love takes an effort that being in love doesn't and I don't know a married person out there that loves their spouse perfectly.
I typed out the quiz for the wife to take, to figure out what her love language is. All you do is choose which of the two statements best represents you. At the end, you count how many of each letter you chose. The letter you chose the most is your love language. If you have two letters that ranked the same, you are "bilingual". It's 30 questions long, and takes about 15 minutes.

Hmm. My love language is words of Affirmation, and Quality Time.
If that makes sense. ;)
And hey--I'm no good at book reports, either. I say, I like the book, yea or nay. Haha:)
Thanks for sharing- I loved taking that.....I heard they have one to understand your childs love language, am I wrong? My love language was Quality Time and Physical touch! Very interesting I wouldnt have expected that. :)
To prove we share the same soul:
My love language is words of affirmation. My husband's is physical touch. I like to esteem him with compliments and buy him presents. He likes to cuddle and spend quality time on movie nights and dinner.
This book is fabulous, I borrowed it from Jasmine a long time ago.
Fun giveaway! =)
whoops i forgot to say i'm a follower
would love to read this
I'm also a follower! ;0)
I got this book from the library two years ago and I found it very enlightening! I would love to own it, along with the Five Love Languages for Children. I've actually read just about everything he has written and it's all good. Try the Four Seasons of Marriage -- you'll like it, too.
My love language is Quality Time. My husband's is Acts of Service. We'll be married 15 years next month and we still can't get it together. LOL It does help to be aware of these things, though.
Mine is words of affirmation. No shock there! Honestly, I don't know what Papa's would be. Since I had yours wrong all this time, I don't want to guess his. Maybe I really DO need the book. =)
Thanks for the great giveaway! My love language is words of affirmation.

I guess I am a quality time type of wife...not the one I had originally thought. I'd love to do this with my children!
I would love to win this book. I've been a follower since Allie came home from the hospital (I "know" your mom on the PW list).
I already am a follower...and I think my love language is physical touch. :-)Pick me!
